Pain proposal presented
Chronic pain presents a major challenge to the citizens and the economy of Europe – one that is likely to worsen as the population ages. A 2006 survey shows that one in five Europeans suffer from chronic pain, with most experiencing it for over two years and some people enduring it for up to 20 years or longer.
On September 28th a pain proposal was given to 28 members of the European Parliament. The pain proposal was a co fellowship between Pfizer, EFIC (European Federation of IASP Chapters) and EFNA (European Federation of Neurological Associations).
