Short report on the General Assembly ENFA March 23 2015

At 10:00am, the President of ENFA opened the General Assembly by welcoming everyone, especially Ella Vine who is helping ENFA by undertaking the secretarial work, which also supports the Board. Following the introductions, the meeting started with the usual agenda items.

Special attention was given to the primary results of the survey which had been running for two weeks. It was agreed that it required further advertising in several member Countries.

A discussion took place about the added value of ENFA. A presentation regarding this will be sent to everyone, in order for it to be used by the relevant associations to inform their members.

The work undertaken during previous years was discussed, along with possible future activities.

A particular highlight of the General Assembly was the elections process. The sitting Board members up for election were reelected. The sitting President, Robert Boelhouwer, had already announced he would be standing down after this term. The Treasurer took the floor and delivered a speech reflecting on Robert's key achievements, events and memories of his 15 year period as President of ENFA

A gift in the form of a photo album with pictures reflecting his 15 year service was given to Robert and each member signed and wrote personal messages in the album for him.

Robert's wife, in The Netherlands, was given flowers as recognition of all the support she has given her husband during his service.

New President, Pam Stewart, was elected and the new Board members are now:

Pam Stewart - President

Souzi Makri - Vice President

Mateja Krzan - Secretary

Joop van Griensven - Treasurer

Lizy Sommer - member at large

After a long day, everyone left the meeting feeling both positive and proud of the accomplishments to date.
